Immerse yourself in the life of prehistoric humans and participate in our unique hunting workshop!
With family or friends, come discover the weapons used by our ancestors and test your skills during an immersive and fun experience.
Long before the invention of agriculture and animal husbandry, humans had to demonstrate extraordinary ingenuity to meet their most basic need: food! Driven by this constant challenge in a sometimes hostile environment, they developed remarkable inventiveness and technical mastery.
Along a specially designed course, adults and children will travel back in time and learn the skills of our ancestors. You will have the opportunity to try out different prehistoric weapons and thus experience the dexterity, precision, and coordination they require. In a family-friendly atmosphere, relive the hunts of yesteryear, hit as many targets as possible, and ensure the survival of your clan!
Each stage will be punctuated with explanations about the great diversity of weapons from the Paleolithic to the Neolithic periods. Through this educational activity, hunting becomes a true journey through time, revealing our ancestors’ adaptability to the environment. Beyond the most iconic tools, you will discover how prehistoric humans hunted animals armed with spears, bolas, throwing sticks, harpoons, and bows. You will explore the skills of our ancestors and understand why these innovations played a major role in the evolution of humankind.
The immersive experience will conclude with an authentic and convivial gathering around a fire lit using ancestral techniques.
Join us in the Ain region for an original adventure combining archaeology, history, and entertainment during the summer holidays, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, July 21, 22, 28, 29, and August 18, 19.
This participatory event will perfectly complement your cultural outing to the Cerdon Caves, combining a visit to the cave with the discovery of our various activities.
