Discover a strange and exciting underground route shaped during the great ice ages. 

A 45 min to 1H30 walk from the burial point of an old river until its resurgence in the middle of a cliff on a belvedere overlooking the Cerdon’s valley and its vineyards.

Questions sur les Grottes
  • Can we take photos in the caves ?

    • Photos are authorized but without flash or tripod so as not to disturb other visitors. The use of photos on the web cannot be done without the authorization of the Caves of Cerdon. Videos are prohibited.

  • Are dogs allowed in the caves ?

    • Yes, but they must be carried or placed in a basket. Only small dogs

  • Are there visits in other languages ?
    • No, but we suggest that you download the commentary in different languages on your own smartphone before coming - Download the audioguide

    • We also lend paper translations of the visit (English, German, Dutch, Spanish, Italian and Russian).

Provide warm clothing for the visit of the caves (14°c to 4°c for 5/10 min) and comfortable shoes (return by a path in the undergrowth)
The rains have no effect on the activities which can be done under shelter
The Grottes du Cerdon are not subject to flooding
